01 Dec When music meets poetry

Antonio Onorato received the “Fratelli De Filippo International Prize” with the motivation “Recognition of Artistic and Musical Excellence” during the 8th edition of the poetry contest held on November 28 at the Auditorium of the Banca di Credito Popolare in Torre del Greco.
Onorato commented:
I am a musician and composer: I work with Music, which for me is closely linked to Poetry. When these two arts reach their peak, poetry becomes music and music becomes poetry, merging into a single expressive language.
The event, which gathered about 300 poems from Italy and abroad, saw the participation of illustrious guests and tributes to the De Filippo family, intertwining poetry, theater, and music into a single cultural framework.
The presence of Antonio Onorato among the special guests created a natural bridge between music and poetry: his guitar and artistic sensitivity ideally dialogued with verses dedicated to peace, love, and human dignity.

This latest honor adds to the many awards he has received throughout his career, further confirming Antonio Onorato’s role as a key figure in both the Italian and international music scene
